The Barcaldine Solar Farm project involved a 25MW photovoltaic solar farm located near Barcaldine in central western Queensland.

The project generates approximately 53,500 to 56,000MWh of renewable electricity annually and contributes to Queensland’s broader emissions reduction targets.

In a former role, Grounded’s Managing Director Leona Luke focused on building awareness during the EIS phase, supporting understanding and acceptance within a regional community while providing clear, consistent communication across stakeholders, landholders and media.

A structured engagement approach ensured transparent two-way communication throughout design development, supported by tailored materials and proactive stakeholder liaison.

The outcome was strong community awareness, positive stakeholder sentiment and broad media coverage across state and industry channels.
