Consultation reporting and insights

In her former role, Building Queensland engaged Leona Luke as communication lead to design and deliver consultation for the proposed dual-track passenger and freight rail corridor between Beerburrum and Nambour.

The project forms part of a broader upgrade to the North Coast Line, improving capacity, reliability and connectivity across the Sunshine Coast, and is currently under construction.

Engagement focused on supporting the gazettal process, combining innovative digital tools with targeted, face-to-face consultation to reach a diverse and highly impacted community.

The outcome was a comprehensive consultation program that informed corridor refinement, strengthened community understanding and built support for the project.
